What we run

Four kinds of trip,
one team behind them

Most people combine two or three of these. A climb and a safari is the classic two weeks; add Zanzibar and you have the full three. Everything is built around your dates rather than a fixed departure calendar.

Our climbers, on the crater rim

Not stock photography. These are groups we guided, at Gilman's Point and Stella Point, in the hour before sunrise on summit day.

Why us

What actually makes
the difference

There are hundreds of operators in Arusha and the brochures all say the same things. These are the differences that show up on the mountain and in the vehicle.

Tanzanian owned

Not a booking agent in another country reselling your trip. Isack runs this company from Arusha, and the money stays where the work happens.

Guides who grew up here

A Wildlife Management graduate who started on Kilimanjaro as a porter, with fifteen years on the mountain and over a decade guiding it and the northern parks. You deal with him directly, not a call centre.

Safety, not optimism

Twice-daily health checks on the mountain, emergency oxygen on every climb, and guides with the authority to turn you around when it matters.

Prices that hold

A written quotation listing exactly what is and is not included. No surprises at the park gate, no pressure to upgrade once you have arrived.

Small groups

We cap safari vehicles at six guests rather than filling every seat, so nobody spends the week in a middle row. Private departures cost less than you would expect.

Fair work, properly paid

Local guides, cooks and porters on fair wages, porter numbers set by the route and the load rather than by what is cheapest, and the park's porter load limits actually observed.

Safety

Your safety is the constraint, not the marketing

Safety is the foundation of every expedition we lead — and the one thing we will not trade away for a summit photograph.

  • KINAPA-certified mountain guides on every Kilimanjaro climb
  • Twice-daily oxygen saturation and altitude sickness assessments
  • Comprehensive briefings before you set foot on the mountain
  • Emergency oxygen and first aid equipment carried on every expedition
  • Clear evacuation protocols and coordination with mountain rescue
  • Guides with the authority to turn a client around, without debate

How it works

From first message to summit day

Tell us the shape of it

Dates, how long you have, roughly what you want to spend and what matters most. A couple of sentences is enough to start.

Get a real itinerary

A day-by-day plan and an itemised price, written by Isack rather than generated. We will suggest changes if we think you have the balance wrong.

Confirm with a deposit

Once the plan is right, a deposit holds your dates, guides and park permits. Terms are set out in writing before you pay anything.

Arrive and go

We meet you at Kilimanjaro International. From that point everything is arranged — transfers, briefings, permits and the trip itself.

Afterwards

Finish on the Indian Ocean

Zanzibar is ninety minutes by air from Arusha and the natural end to a Tanzanian trip — a week of doing nothing after two weeks of doing a great deal.

We book the flights, the transfers, the room and anything you feel like doing in between: Stone Town, the spice farms, Mnemba Atoll, or nothing at all.

Reviews

Hear it from travellers, not from us

We would rather point you at independent reviews than print testimonials on our own website. Have a look, then come back and ask us the hard questions.

Travelled with us? A review helps other people find a small local operator. We would be grateful.
